Presbyterian Women celebrate pending weddings by hosting a bridal shower. Christmas Tree ornaments, both purchased and handmade are presented to the couple by the women of the church.
Baby Showers for newborns are also a part of Mt. Bethel's hospitality. Gifts for our little ones and the new parents are presented by the women of the church.
An annual Easter Egg Hunt is held for all children in the community. A wonderful time of fun and fellowship is enjoyed by the children, parents and grandparents.
Montreat: This annual church-wide retreat for members and their families takes place in the fall. Set in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, guest speakers join us in Christ-centered activities that hold the fascination of both young and old. The 2006 retreat will be held in October.
Fifth Sunday Night Worship and Music Service: An informal gathering to sing favorite hymns, other musical selections include solos, quartets, Bell Choir, Chimes Choir, Chancel Choir, as well as various instrumentals. Refreshments are offered at 6:30 with services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Held every month that has 5 Sundays.
At the beginning of the Church year, Rally Day is the occasion for promotions in the younger classes, introduction of teachers followed by a covered dish luncheon. Truly a time of celebration as our youngsters grow in the Spirit and enjoy games on the lawn of the church. |
